Flintstones Costumes For The Whole Family
The Flintstones programs provide some great ideas for costumes for the whole family. Just the thing for Halloween.
Did you grow up with the Flintstones like me? They are a stone age family who live in Bedrock. There’s Fred Flintstone, the father of the family. Fred is certainly a larger than life character who works as a dinosaur operator for Slate Rock and Gravel. He gets into one doomed scheme after another. He loses his temper easily and is a loudmouth. He loves bowling, playing pool and poker, but most of all he loves lounging around the house much to the chagrin of his wife, Wilma. However, even though he does tend to annoy Wilma, he is very caring, loving and friendly. “Yabba Dabba Doo” is his trademark exclamation. If you dress as him for Halloween, it’s a great thing to exclaim!
Wilma is Fred’s long suffering, red-headed wife. Wilma stays at home looking after the house with the aid of interesting prehistoric household items such as an elephant vacuum cleaner and a pelican washing machine. Her best friend is her neighbour Betty and they enjoy shopping and volunteering for various charitable organizations. She’s always having to get Fred out of trouble after one of his schemes goes wrong as well as moaning at him because of his laziness at home.
Then there is Fred and Wilma’s only child, a daughter called Pebbles. As an infant, Pebbles becomes best friends with Barney and Betty’s adopted son, Bamm-Bamm. As an adult she eventually marries Bamm-Bamm. Pebbles is such a cute little character, with her red hair like her mother with a bone instead of a bow in her hair.
